i saw the greatest commercial today...

three guys in a convertible are being dragged behind this huge truck and sparks are flying everywhere and their car is just being torn apart. the "How Is My Driving?" bumper sticker is staring them straight in the face. the one guy asks his friend if they should call that number. the guy says something along the lines of "no way not with these fares that my phone bill is charging me" they both look at the third guy in the back seat and he says "dont look at me i'm on roaming."

haha okay maybe it wasnt that great but i was amused

sooo...
i was working all weekend at the hilton near the airport so then my dad and my mom afterwards went off with another couple to go to the capital grille for dinner. my sister and i were not invited. so we instead went to mick's in downtown atl. so we go there and gasp! the lot across from mick's that we used to park at is now completely redone and i missed the entrance to it! so we had to keep driving around until we are like at this ghetto lot a few blocks behind the fox and so i'm really scared and my sister and i had to walk alone to mick's. kinda scarey... but it was really cold AND FREAKY WINDY and my sister forgot her jacket so i made her put on my huge jacket and put her hood up so it looked like we were a couple. lol. we didnt get raped. phew! but it was a long, dark walk to mick's and something was goin on at the fox so it took us so long to get our food but we sat at the bar and the dude behind it was actually kinda hot and he was really nice to us and he didnt charge me for my milkshake. whut a sweetie.

so then i came home all ready to watch the duke v. uva game with my sister and shes all like "i want to go watch extreme home makeover". shiiit. so i sat there screaming at the tv with my dog who got kinda scared of me... jj was having a good night tho. jj redick is a saint.

eee! how exciting! weird...but exciting! i told my mom and she was like "o did u tell him that i went to agnes scott? no i didnt...oops. but it was really ironic because right when he called i was looking at colleges' stats on the internet. i dont think i would want to go to agnes scott....it being a girls' school and all. but that was just really cool.

its pouring pretty bad outside and so i'm coming home from soccer and i go to park near the car port and i knock over a pot and my parents are out there freaking out. since when has that pot been there? they said its been there ever since we moved but i have my doubts. sheeesh its a plastic pot. so i went back out there, in the pouring rain, and replanted it.

for all the many times that i'm not allowed to do stuff when its raining because i might get sick or something, they sure dont care if its something like repotting a plant. seriously common. if i get a cold then its completely their fault.

soccer is up and going. i'm really enjoying it. i love being with all the girls again...altho i dont know if i can stand all the freshmen. but o well i was one too a while back ;)

and i'm actually liking huckleberry finn...the book we have to read for lit. this is the first book for school that i've actually read so that means something. lol. today ms. ponder decided to let us go to A lunch instead so i sat with jesse and alex...the only other sophs in the lunch. it was interesting. they are really nice and everything but then they started talking about how volleyball was their favorite women's sport and it went downhill from there. at least for me it did. sigh, boys.........

today started out very oddly. in my desparate attempt to turn off my alarm clock i knocked over my HUGE glass of water and it went spilling all over my bed and my tshirt and my floor. so i laid there dripping wet for about 10 minutes feeling wet, cold, and so completely pitiful- just thinking how bad my day has already been.
first block puckett. i cant remember whut happened but somehow clay pissed mc off and she said something back and was then like "SSSSSSSSSHOP!" she denys it but she said it. it was hilarious. clay asked her if thats whut they say in france. shop, mc.
the rest of the day was pretty cool. molly made me an flying origami crane in history with some candy wrappers after she ate all her lunch. thanks, mo.
then after school she came to my house, chilled, roasted my great old cds from the 90s yeah man.
then i dropped my sister off at school for her basketball game. when back to school later for the varsity games. really close games, exciting! we won :)
then like 20 of my friends all went to la parilla. fuuun. we all told the hot waiter that it was mc's birthday and she being the dumb party pooper that she is pitched a fit and confessed it was in july. geez thanks for ruining the fun, mc. we all wanted to see u in a sombraro (wow definitly cant spell that).
THEN it was like 10:30, pretty late. wayyy later than i was supposed to be out. but my sister had a really good game tonight so i guess thats y my parents were in a super positive mood so they were like "dorsie have alllll ur friends over and let them stay til whenever!" wow. so lets see... molly p, jesse, leigh ann, lanie, alex boy, lauren cape, and zach all came over. at first we attempted to play volleyball in the dark which was pretty funny. then we played texas hold em. leigh ann and i swept the table. if we played with money, la and i would have an estate right now. yes sir.
then we all kinda chilled and i had a HILARIOUS experience walking in on two people... i'll leave the rest of that story to your imagination. LOL.
well okay so a good friday i guess, despite my first impression of it. my parents talked to me after every1 left tonight and they told me that all my friends were so polite and i am allowed to have anyone over anytime. tight. o- and they also raised my allowance (mainly to pay for gas). but still very cool.

sooo... puckett reviews before the test today and asks me like 5 questions and of course i got them all wrong (surprise surprise) and then everyone was making fun of me because i was going to fail. i get my test and i only got like 3 or 4 wrong! yeaaaaaa thats right. i probably got better than u guys so HA!

goin to nc tomorrow. wont be back until next monday night.
it'll be too cold there to do anythin- and the boats are all up for the winter...except the kayak so maybe i'll do some kayaking? bb & sarah will be down there too so hopefully we'll hang out new years and stuff. lets not forget hotwings at the BT. yeah boy.

mine was pretty good. our fernace broke and caused my dad to do some cursing at it. i felt like i was in A Christmas Story! lol...how weird.
My sister and i woke up late- 11:00. Unlike what we have ever done in the past- we had brunch BEFORE we opened gifts. i remember getting up at 5:30 when i was younger because i couldnt wait to see what santa had brought me. sigh, those were the days! Christmas keeps getting less and less significant each year. its sad.
My sister and i got a digital camera, a new printer for pictures, some books, movies, cd's...my mother really liked her Lilly Pulitzer cookbook i gave her. it was just a cookbook? but she kept being like "OMG I WAS GONNA GET U THIS FOR UR BIRTHDAY! WE THINK SO MUCH ALIKE!" all i'm thinkin is haha- SCAREY! o well i'm glad she liked it. i think my sister and my dad liked their gifts too.
well my family played some board games today- among my sister's and my favorite was MONOPOLY. it was great fun. i do believe i won but we didnt count the money...after all it is Christmas eh? My mother prepared a delicious dinner- but i was too full on eggnog and cookies to truely appreciate it. haha.
then my father and i watched ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE together. BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIE EVER! it truely is. i started crying at the end...its so wonderful. lol. and now i'm listening to Christmas music- tryin to cram it in for the year. i hate listening to Christmas songs after Christmas! lol.

theres supposed to be snow tonight! maybe we'll have a white day-after-Christmas? as great as that sounds, i hope it wont. like i said, our furnace is broken so my house is gonna get FREEZING and i'm handing out lunch again to the homeless tomorrow after church. well i hope everyone had a very wonderful holiday. merry christmas and have a blessed night.

Christmas in the Trenches

My name is Francis Tolliver, I come from Liverpool.
Two years ago the war was waiting for me after school.
To Belgium and to Flanders, to Germany to here
I fought for King and country I love dear.
'Twas Christmas in the trenches, where the frost so bitter hung,
The frozen fields of France were still, no Christmas song was sung
Our families back in England were toasting us that day
Their brave and glorious lads so far away.

I was lying with my messmate on the cold and rocky ground
When across the lines of battle came a most peculiar sound
Says I, "Now listen up, me boys!" each soldier strained to hear
As one young German voice sang out so clear.
"He's singing bloody well, you know!" my partner says to me
Soon, one by one, each German voice joined in harmony
The cannons rested silent, the gas clouds rolled no more
As Christmas brought us respite from the war
As soon as they were finished and a reverent pause was spent
"God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" struck up some lads from Kent
The next they sang was "Stille Nacht." "Tis 'Silent Night'," says I
And in two tongues one song filled up that sky
"There's someone coming toward us!" the front line sentry cried
All sights were fixed on one long figure trudging from their side
His truce flag, like a Christmas star, shown on that plain so bright
As he, bravely, strode unarmed into the night
Soon one by one on either side walked into No Man's Land
With neither gun nor bayonet we met there hand to hand
We shared some secret brandy and we wished each other well
And in a flare-lit soccer game we gave 'em hell

so i come home a few minutes ago and i hug my mother and ask how she is doing and stuff and shes like "dont give me that crap! you've been gone all day!" then she just walks out of the house and leaves.
then i go to see whuts goin on with everyone and i say hi to my sister and she just walks right past...
so THEN i go down to my father who is like "how should i kno whuts going on? i've been gone all day with your sister. now i have to get some work done!" so he wont talk to me either.

saturday. flew on a private jet to charleston for the day for my beloved hoods' birthday. yay. it was a blast we had so much fun!
today i handed out sack lunches and scarves and stuff to the homeless outside of our church. then it started a blizzard. it was exciting. i dont think i've seen snow fall that big before :)

great day. too bad it ended like it did. but i'm relieved. phew!

um... made a 90 on my latin final. yay. then went with lauran, lanie, and molly to the atl bread co had a nice lunch. went to the avenue just to sit in massage chairs with molly. came home. realized i had left my latin nb on top of the car and it must've fallen off at school. back to school to check parkinglot. sure nuff it was still there. phew. came home. asked father and dog to go to the park to walk with me since it was a beautiful day. we did. it was fun. came home. avoided studying.

i was bored today and so philip told me to paint a picture of a pink flower eating a purple bus:
